Nurol Teknoloji has created sustainability keys and started to take steps to realize its goals in this direction.

Within the framework of ensuring the use of renewable energy resources, which is one of its sustainability goals, it has started to use the rooftop solar power plant, which it installed with the group company Nurol Solar, in the production site located in the Ankara-Gölbaşı factory. The power plant has an installed power of 975 kWp and its first electricity production was realized in November 2022. It limited the use of natural resources by including solar energy, one of the renewable energy sources, in the energy used in production and met 15% of the energy used in the factory with the energy obtained from the solar power plant with an area of 7400 m2.

With this target, Nurol Teknoloji has reduced a total of 585 tons of CO2 emissions from scope 2 emissions. Thus, it prevented the cutting down of 1.415 trees per year.

Ankara-based defense industry firm Nurol Teknoloji, one of the world's leading advanced technical ballistic ceramic manufacturers and one of the largest armor suppliers for Turkey and NATO countries, strengthens its leadership in the field of advanced technical ceramic technologies by acquiring a majority stake in the German ceramic raw material manufacturer INDUSTRIE KERAMIK HOCHRHEIN (IKH).

Since 1995, INDUSTRIE KERAMIK HOCHRHEIN (IKH) has been developing and producing innovative advanced technical ceramic powders. For years, IKH has been developing specialized products for many technology giants in the field of powder metallurgy and advanced technical ceramics. Nurol Teknoloji General Manager and Board Member Selim BAYBAŞ stated in his remarks that the acquisition of a majority stake in the company is of great importance not only for Nurol Teknoloji but also for Turkish business life. At the ceremony held at Nurol Teknoloji Ankara/Gölbaşı Facility, CEO and Member of the Board Mr. Selim Baybaş representing Nurol Teknoloji company, and Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Fawaz Alaqeel representing SCOPA company were signed the MoU.

In accordance with the signed memorandum of understanding; In order to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense industry and to develop new business areas related to ceramic and composite ballistic protective products, it was agreed to carry out business development and cooperation studies.
