Bulletin

Dear Stakeholders,

The first half of 2025 marked a fruitful period for Nurol Teknoloji, as we took substantial steps toward our strategic objectives and strengthened our presence across national and global arenas.

We continue to invest in our R&D and production infrastructure while deepening our quality-oriented approach day by day. As we reshape our processes in line with the principles of digitalization and sustainability, we are also strengthening our capabilities in global markets through both local and international certifications.

One of the most prominent milestones of this period was our participation in the IDEF 2025 International Defense Industry Fair, held in Istanbul in July.  Our ballistic protection solutions developed for land, air, naval, and personal protection platforms attracted considerable attention throughout the event. This strong interest not only highlighted our technological capabilities but also demonstrated the importance we place on meeting real-world user needs in the field. The dialogues we held with sector stakeholders and representatives from allied and friendly nations laid a strategic and fruitful foundation for future collaborations.

Our engineering expertise in naval platform armor has especially positioned us as a leading solution provider in this domain. From corvettes and frigates to offshore patrol vessels and next-generation mine countermeasure ships, we deliver integrated ballistic protection systems tailored to a wide range of maritime platforms. Today, we play an active role in every military naval platform manufactured in Türkiye, supporting the operational strength of security forces with advanced technology solutions that prioritize user safety in high-threat environments.

One of the most prominent innovations we proudly introduced at IDEF was our new brand, Armor Integrity. Designed as an intelligent safety layer for armored vehicles operating in high-threat environments, this advanced product enhances both crew safety and operational decision-making. Thanks to its high-precision sensors and advanced algorithms integrated into the armor surface, the system can detect the direction of ballistic threats, determine how many hits a vehicle or platform has taken, and identify any penetration — all within seconds.

In addition, our advanced technical ceramic powders and ceramic components—developed in collaboration with our German subsidiary, IKH—also garnered significant attention at the fair. We also had the opportunity to introduce, for the first time, five different ballistic chest plates certified by the U.S. National Institute of Justice (NIJ), produced under our Nurol Technology USA brand operating in the United States.

At Nurol Teknoloji, we remain committed to standing by our security forces with ethical responsibility, engineering excellence, and an innovative mindset—while continuing to develop technologies that carry our nation forward.

Sincerely,

Selim BAYBAŞ  CEO – Board Member

Innovation in the U.S. Market – The First and Only Turkish Signature in NIJ Certification

Title image

The first half of 2025 was a period in which high value-added innovations and technology-focused breakthroughs took center stage for Nurol Technology USA. Thanks to product strategies designed around anticipating future needs rather than simply meeting current market demands, five of our products were successfully certified under the NIJ 06 standard. These products earned spots on the NIJ Certified Product List (CPL) of our 12 strategic partners in the U.S. Thus, by navigating this demanding process, we solidified our distinction as the first and only Turkish company to achieve NIJ 06 product certification.

Yet our true ambition extends beyond adapting to the market: we aim to cultivate a culture of innovation that shapes evolving standards. To that end, our RCD teams are working at full speed on next-generation solutions that fully comply with the NIJ 07 standard announced in 2025. The cutting-edge products we develop represent not only our certification targets but also our technological leadership on the global stage.

One of the most striking examples is our DS-SiC ceramic, just 2.5 mm thick. It stands as the thinnest and lightest ballistic ceramic developed worldwide—a landmark achievement in material science. Its hybrid variants (SiCB4C 60/40) also deliver premiumsegment performance. We introduced this breakthrough to the world via a press release on the Body Armor News website.

Another major innovation is our “Specter” solution, engineered for the NIJ 07 RF2 threat level. Weighing only 1.35 kg and measuring 16.5 mm thick, it is currently the lightest ICW RF2 solution in the world to meet this standard. Its launch generated significant interest in both the U.S. and Europe, reaffirming our position as an innovation leader in the industry.

Looking ahead, as we continue to expand our portfolio of premium solutions in the U.S. market, we will sustain innovative and pioneering advances in ballistic protection. The high technical expertise, determination, and excellence-driven approach of our RCD, Manufacturing, and Quality teams play a decisive role in making this strategic journey and vision a reality. By pushing the boundaries of innovation to deliver superior solutions to our users, these teams contribute critically to developing products that exceed global standards. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and a commitment to continuous improvement, they embody the driving force of our organization.

Best Regards.

Procurement Department: 2025 First-Half Activities and Second-Half Targets

Title image

In the first half of 2025, the Procurement Department focused both on enhancing operational processes and strengthening engagement with the industry. During the MESS Order Advisory Board meeting, the team closely monitored recent developments in procurement processes and benefited from valuable knowledge and experience exchanges with professionals from various sectors.

As part of the IDEF Fair held in July, efforts were made to strengthen relationships with existing suppliers while establishing initial connections to onboard new ones into our portfolio. Face-to-face meetings provided insights into the diverse range of goods and services offered by participating companies, enabling the identification of potential future collaboration opportunities and a closer assessment of sectoral developments.

Looking ahead, as part of the 2025 plans, procurement manuals will be prepared for recurring and strategically prioritized projects. These documents will serve both as a means to integrate accumulated knowledge into the corporate structure more effectively and as a valuable resource for onboarding new team members.

With the adoption of a data-driven approach in our daily operations, the department aims to manage processes more efficiently. Real-time data flow will enhance process monitoring quality, while simultaneously strengthening the company’s digital corporate memory.

In addition to supporting operational continuity and quality assurance processes, these initiatives aim to transform the procurement culture into a more systematic, transparent, and sustainable structure aligned with the company’s core values. Through active participation and feedback from our internal stakeholders, the department will ensure more effective process management, efficient use of resources, cost optimization, and, ultimately, an increase in the company’s overall competitiveness.

Best Regards.

High Protection, Innovative Technology: Nurol Teknoloji in the First Half of 2025

Title image

As we leave behind the first eight months of 2025, we continue to strengthen our position as Türkiye’s leading company in advanced technical materials and armor solutions, with a focus on innovation, excellence, and sustainability. By integrating R&D, production, and the latest digital technologies in line with the spirit of the times, we consistently expand our capabilities.

Building on the global customer portfolio we have developed through business development activities in recent years, we made a strong start to 2025 and expanded it even further. While increasing our product range and export volume in our target markets, we remain committed to providing our armed forces and law enforcement with the highest level of protection solutions, born from our advanced engineering capabilities, without interruption.

In this context, we proudly completed the TKY-BKY Project—signed with the Presidency of Defence Industries in 2016—which holds the distinction of being the largest tender in Europe in the field of ballistic protection products. We take pride in delivering the highest level of protection to our armed forces and law enforcement personnel.

In the first eight months, we undertook with great pride the supply of armor solutions for four Offshore Patrol Vessels to be built by the consortium of DEARSAN-DESAN-ÖZATA shipyards, as well as for the New Generation Mine Countermeasure Vessel (YMAG), the first of its class to be constructed by DEARSAN. With these latest projects, all shipyards producing military ships in Türkiye have been included in our portfolio.

Following our participation in the Enforce Tac and IDEX exhibitions earlier in the year, we attended the Indo Defence Fair in Indonesia to observe developments in the Asia-Pacific region and assess potential opportunities in naval platforms. Drawing on our experience from the projects we have undertaken in this field, we were able to further refine our business development strategies.

One of the key highlights of our agenda was our participation in IDEF 2025, held in July, where we showcased our broad product range and strong partner network. At this exhibition, we unveiled to the public for the first time our sensor-based smart security layer technology, Armor Integrity, designed to enhance the safety and operational efficiency of armored vehicle crews in high-threat environments. With its innovative structure and advanced detection capabilities, Armor Integrity attracted significant attention from industry stakeholders, standing out as a tangible reflection of Nurol Teknoloji’s innovation vision. The outcomes from the fair marked important steps in transforming the business development initiatives we launched in the first half of the year into concrete projects and long-term partnerships.

We crowned our exhibition participation by signing the Phase-2 contract of the Ballistic Protective Vest Project between the Presidency of Defence Industries and Nurol Teknoloji. The ballistic vests and plates, which will be delivered to the personnel of the General Directorate of Security, will be produced in Nurol Teknoloji’s domestic and national facilities using lightweight, high-strength materials. This project will not only enhance the operational effectiveness of our security forces in the field but will also contribute to the sustainable domestic production approach in the defense industry.

As always, Nurol Teknoloji will continue to solidify every step we take on the foundations of sustainability, innovation, and environmentally friendly product development.

Best Regards.
