Bulletin

Dear Stakeholders,

As one of Türkiye’s leading companies in the field of advanced technical materials, we continue our innovation- and excellence-driven efforts without interruption. At Nurol Teknoloji, we are committed to further strengthening our strong position in international markets and making strategic contributions to our country’s defense industry. To this end, we continue to implement the latest technologies across our R&D, production, and digitalization processes.

Recently, Nurol Teknoloji has achieved significant success on the global stage. By the end of 2024, five of our products were certified by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) in the United States. These certifications once again confirm the compliance of our products with international ballistic standards and their exceptional level of security. The NIJ certification is a highly important quality validation for defense and security products, and this achievement demonstrates that our products are recognized worldwide and meet the highest safety standards. Furthermore, twelve different U.S.-based ballistic protection companies have licensed our products, expanding our presence and influence in the global market.

In addition, we had the opportunity to showcase our innovative products and expand our international collaborations by participating in two of the industry’s most significant events: Enforce Tac and IDEX. At the Enforce Tac fair in Germany, we presented our latest ballistic protection solutions. In particular, our personal protective equipment and lightweight ballistic armor systems attracted great interest from key representatives of law enforcement and the private security sector. During the fair, we had the chance to highlight the advantages of our high-protection-level products in terms of flexibility, lightness, and durability.

IDEX 2024, one of the most prestigious events in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa regions, served as a vital platform where we introduced our products to military and defense professionals from around the world. At this event in Abu Dhabi, our next-generation composite armor technologies and highly protective armor systems developed for military land vehicles stood out. We met with our partners in the Middle East market to present solutions tailored to the region’s needs and took important steps toward new collaborations.

At Nurol Teknoloji, we continue to implement major projects that support our sustainable growth. Moving forward, we will remain a pioneering force in the industry with innovative materials, next-generation lightweight ballistic products, and environmentally friendly production processes.

While I wish you a pleasant reading in this issue, I would like to thank the Nurol Teknoloji family for their devoted work as always.

Sincerely.

Selim BAYBAŞ  CEO – Board Member

High Technology, High Protection: A New Era in Production

Title image

2024 marked a significant year in which we improved and began digitizing our production processes.
By integrating the Lean Six Sigma philosophy into our operations, we continue our efforts to increase production capacity and deliver high-quality products to our stakeholders.

Thanks to our investments in equipment and technological enhancements throughout 2024, we accelerated our operational processes and strengthened our ability to respond more swiftly to both domestic and international market demands. In addition to meeting the ballistic protection needs of Turkish security forces, we successfully maintained our production of armor systems for NATO countries and other allied nations.

By accelerating the digitalization of our production processes, we took another major step toward our goal of operational excellence. Through advanced automation systems and AI-supported analysis in production monitoring, we significantly improved efficiency. With the Jarvis system, we remotely monitor our production lines 24/7 and use big data analytics to minimize error rates and optimize processes.

With new manufacturing techniques, we have developed advanced technical ceramics at a thickness of 2.5 mm, enabling us to offer the world’s lightest NIJ 0101.06 Level 3++ plates to our customers. Additionally, we developed a globally unique chest plate that withstands up to six shots of armor-piercing ammunition, in line with the NIJ 0101.06 Level 4 protection standard.

In 2025, we aim to further increase our investments in automation systems to eliminate errors in production, and to enhance our production capacity through fully integrated data management.

We are proud to share these significant achievements in production with you, our esteemed stakeholders, and we firmly believe that together, we will build a stronger and more sustainable future.

Best Regards.

First Steps of 2025 in Ceramic Quality and Management Systems

Title image

Following the successful completion of 2024, we continue our efforts in the first quarter of 2025 as Ceramic Quality and Management Systems, expanding both our scope and competencies.

On the management systems side, we hosted the first meeting of the Holding EHS Excellence & Quality Management Group in the first quarter of 2025. It was a productive session with presentations from our companies on Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases and Business Continuity. Additionally, we increased internal awareness of standards by organizing AS 9100 awareness and internal audit training and integrated new auditors into our internal audit system. Under the scope of ISO 50001 Energy Management, we completed our assessment studies in the first quarter of 2025 and have reached a significant stage in system implementation.

With our digitalization efforts that began at the end of 2024 and continued into the first quarter of 2025, our laboratories are undergoing transformation. We now process measurements using voice commands via our JARVIS program and access our reports digitally. Our work on x-ray imaging and AI-supported film evaluation in mass production continues on both the digital and mechanical fronts.

To preserve our institutional memory, we launched a new platform. By integrating recorded corrective actions and non-conformance reports into the system, we have begun to make all lessons learned fully accessible. Through this, we aim to monitor past experiences and lessons learned at the start of every project to prevent the recurrence of mistakes.

With new investments in our analytical laboratory, we are expanding its capabilities. As of the beginning of the second quarter, we will be able to determine the surface area of powders using the BET method. We are also continuing our joint efforts in raw material analysis through our partnership with IKH, which began last year, sharing our expertise and experience.

In 2025, we will continue to deliver solutions to meet the evolving expectations of our growing customer portfolio without compromising on our quality.

Best Regards,

Burak ACİCBE / Manager, Ceramic Quality and Quality Management Systems

Our Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Program Has Started

Title image

The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Program has been launched to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve our processes. Within this scope, we have initiated our work with the first set of defined projects. Our program is a long-term initiative and will continue over a period of more than six months.

Throughout the program, our participants are learning Lean Six Sigma tools through monthly consultancy sessions and are applying them to the assigned projects. While the Lean philosophy focuses on optimizing value flow by eliminating waste, Lean Six Sigma aims to achieve defect-free production by reducing process variability.

During this process, current conditions will be analyzed, defective production and processes will be improved, and operational losses will be minimized. At the end of the program, project outcomes will be evaluated during the Management Review meeting, and the gains achieved will be calculated and shared.

This program, an important step towards achieving our company’s goals of continuous improvement and quality-focused transformation, aims to ensure sustainable efficiency in our operations by enhancing our employees' problem-solving capabilities. With the results obtained during this process, we will also pave the way for more comprehensive improvement projects in the future.

Best Regards
