Turquality, which provides comprehensive corporate, financial and operational support, is an important step taken to increase Nurol Teknoloji's brand awareness and competitiveness in the foreign market.

The fact that Nurol Teknoloji, one of the leading companies in the defense sector, was entitled to receive the Turquality certificate reveals our company's high level of maturity in the quality of its products and services, innovation and export-oriented strategies.

Nurol Teknoloji signed the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs) in 2024. Nurol Teknoloji has created sustainability keys and started to take steps to realize its goals in this direction.

Within the framework of ensuring the use of renewable energy resources, which is one of its sustainability goals, it has started to use the rooftop solar power plant, which it installed with the group company Nurol Solar, in the production site located in the Ankara-Gölbaşı factory. The power plant has an installed power of 975 kWp and its first electricity production was realized in November 2022. It limited the use of natural resources by including solar energy, one of the renewable energy sources, in the energy used in production and met 15% of the energy used in the factory with the energy obtained from the solar power plant with an area of 7400 m2.

With this target, Nurol Teknoloji has reduced a total of 585 tons of CO2 emissions from scope 2 emissions. Thus, it prevented the cutting down of 1.415 trees per year.

Ankara-based defense industry firm Nurol Teknoloji, one of the world's leading advanced technical ballistic ceramic manufacturers and one of the largest armor suppliers for Turkey and NATO countries, strengthens its leadership in the field of advanced technical ceramic technologies by acquiring a majority stake in the German ceramic raw material manufacturer INDUSTRIE KERAMIK HOCHRHEIN (IKH).

Since 1995, INDUSTRIE KERAMIK HOCHRHEIN (IKH) has been developing and producing innovative advanced technical ceramic powders. For years, IKH has been developing specialized products for many technology giants in the field of powder metallurgy and advanced technical ceramics. With its expertise in ceramic technologies, innovative approach, and two modern production facilities focused on fine/ultra-fine, oxide/non-oxide ceramic powders, IKH is one of the leading players in the advanced technical ceramic industry.

Nurol Teknoloji General Manager and Board Member Selim BAYBAŞ stated in his remarks that the acquisition of a majority stake in the company is of great importance not only for Nurol Teknoloji but also for Turkish business life. He emphasized that this is a first for their sector and said that, with the acquisition of IKH, they aim not only to strengthen their leadership in the field of ballistic ceramics but also to become a global leader in advanced technical ceramics needed by the electronics sector and other technology-critical industries.

IKH company founder Marco REINGER said of this strategic partnership, 'We believe that our growth potential will increase even further with Nurol Teknoloji's vision. Combined with our experience in the ceramic industry, we will focus on new and innovative projects.'

For Nurol Teknoloji, which produces armor with the highest levels of protection for personnel and ground, air, and sea vehicles using advanced technical ceramics such as Boron Carbide (B4C), Silicon Carbide (SiC), and Alumina (Al2O3), this collaboration means more than just a company acquisition. It also aims to accelerate R&D efforts in advanced technical ceramics and develop innovative products in this field. This acquisition carries a significant vision for the future of the Turkish Defense Industry and the advanced technical ceramic industry.

Nurol Teknoloji, which has extensive experience in the production and sales of various ceramic and composite defense products, including but not limited to, advanced technical ceramics, ballistic protective products, hard armor plates, ballistic protective vests, shields, security cabins, tiles for armoring of land vehicles, airplanes and marine vehicles, etc., not just in Turkey, but all around the world, and SCOPA Defense Trading company, which provides state-of-the-art defense solutions to the army and internal security forces in order to modernize the armed forces of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, signed a mutual Memorandum of Understanding on 31.07.2023 in order to develop new business areas by combining their experiences and competencies in their respective fields.

At the ceremony held at Nurol Teknoloji Ankara/Gölbaşı Facility, CEO and Member of the Board Mr. Selim Baybaş representing Nurol Teknoloji company, and Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Fawaz Alaqeel representing SCOPA company were signed the MoU.

In accordance with the signed memorandum of understanding; In order to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense industry and to develop new business areas related to ceramic and composite ballistic protective products, it was agreed to carry out business development and cooperation studies.
