Innovative Approaches to Ceramic Manufacturing Processes

The year 2025 marked a significant milestone for Nurol Teknoloji, during which not only production capacity but also technical depth, process reliability, and scalability in advanced ceramic manufacturing were strengthened simultaneously. Throughout the year, comprehensive process development initiatives enabled the safe transition of high-technology products developed in R&D into serial production, while ensuring quality continuity and production stability at an institutional level. This approach has laid the foundation for a manufacturing infrastructure capable of addressing both current and future requirements in advanced armor technologies.
Thin and precision-geometry ballistic ceramics, hybrid (B₄C/SiC) systems, and direct-sintered ceramic solutions designed for diverse ballistic requirements—each presenting considerable technical manufacturing challenges—were adapted for serial production through optimized pressing, sintering, and production line configurations. Infrastructure and layout improvements implemented across pressing lines, furnace systems, intermediate processes, and furnace preparation lines significantly increased production capacity while elevating operational reliability to a higher level. As a result, the sustainable production of lighter, tighter-tolerance, and more complex products has become possible.
Infrastructure transformations driven by energy and operational efficiency objectives have delivered substantial cost advantages without compromising process safety. With the commissioning of furnace automation and digital monitoring systems, heat treatment and manufacturing processes have become more controlled, traceable, and predictable, enabling the effective integration of data-driven decision-making mechanisms into shop-floor operations. This transformation has reinforced production continuity while directly supporting long-term sustainability goals.
To ensure that this technical transformation becomes permanent at the organizational level, the Ceramic Academy was established, enabling the transfer of process knowledge from individual dependency to institutional memory. By creating a common technical language across R&D, production, and quality units, this structure has contributed to the adoption of a holistic perspective in advanced ceramic technologies. Consequently, Nurol Teknoloji has strengthened its corporate structure not only with the capability to develop high-performance products, but also with a robust technological infrastructure that enables their reliable, repeatable, and scalable production.
As we enter 2026, we aim to further advance the expertise we have built in advanced ceramic technologies, while strengthening production reliability, quality continuity, and scalability. We hope the coming year will be a period in which we deepen our technical capabilities and further reinforce our corporate manufacturing infrastructure in line with our sustainable growth approach. We wish all our stakeholders a healthy, successful, and prosperous year; happy new year.
Best Regards.

Operational Excellence Across Cost, Inventory, and Quality

The operational achievements and data-driven improvement efforts realized throughout 2025 have enabled us to define our 2026 goals in a clearer, more measurable, and results-oriented manner. Our strategic approach for 2026 is built on establishing operational excellence across the key dimensions of cost, inventory, and quality.
Within this framework, cost management will be one of our core KPI sets. Our objectives include reducing unit product costs, implementing process-based cost tracking, and minimizing budget variances. Quantifying cost-reduction actions across all functions and reporting them on a regular basis will be a fundamental principle.
Reducing and optimizing inventory will be considered a critical performance indicator for 2026. By increasing inventory turnover, reducing unnecessary safety stocks, and strengthening integration across production, planning, and the supply chain, we aim to lower tied-up capital.
Under the scope of quality cost management, increasing the share allocated to preventive quality activities, reducing internal and external failure costs, and lowering rework and scrap rates will be among our key KPIs. This approach will directly support product reliability and customer satisfaction.
In terms of project priorities, Concealable Vests, Full Protection Vests , National Ship Programs, KMC vehicles, Overseas Army Projects, and especially U.S. (USA) projects will be given priority in resource and capacity planning. Time, cost, and quality targets for these projects will be monitored and managed on a regular basis.
Success in 2026 will be driven by measurable targets, disciplined execution, and strong cross-functional coordination. We firmly believe that the targeted KPIs will be achieved through collective commitment and focused effort.
We wish that 2026 brings health, happiness, and peace. We believe the new year will be a period marked by strong results and a clear focus on our objectives. We wish all our stakeholders a happy and successful year.
Best regards,
Serkan TULĞAR / Supply Chain Director

Protection of Personal Data Storage Devices

With the rapid acceleration of digitalization today, various data storage devices are used to store and transport personal information. Personal data carriers such as USB drives, external hard disks, smartphones, tablets, and laptops play a significant role in enabling both individual users and institutions to transport sensitive data.
Due to the sensitive information they contain, personal data storage devices can become targets for cyber attackers. When these devices are lost, stolen, or exposed to unauthorized access, irreversible damages may occur, such as:
- Disclosure of personal data
- Identity theft
- Financial losses
- Damage to corporate reputation and customer trust
Below are the essential precautions that should be taken to protect personal data storage devices:
- Use of Encryption: Data stored on carrier devices must be encrypted. Even if the device falls into unauthorized hands, encryption prevents access to its contents.
- Use of Strong Passwords: Strong and hard-to-guess passwords should be used to access devices. Passwords should also be changed regularly.
- Data Backup: Important data on the device should be regularly backed up to a secure environment. This helps prevent data loss.
- Anti-Virus and Security Software: Security software and antivirus programs should be used to protect devices against malicious software. These tools must be kept up to date.
- Authorization and Access Controls: Access to devices should be limited strictly to authorized users, and unnecessary permissions should not be granted. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) can also be used.
- Physical Protection: When not in use, data storage devices should be kept in secure environments. Care should be taken to avoid loss or theft, and during travel, devices carrying sensitive data should remain within visible and controlled areas.
- Data Destruction: If the data on a device is no longer needed, it should be permanently deleted, and if possible, the device should be physically destroyed.
As Nurol Teknoloji continues to strengthen its information security practices, the protection of personal data storage devices remains a shared responsibility for all of us. By adhering to the measures outlined in this document, we reinforce our commitment to safeguarding sensitive information and minimizing the risks associated with potential data breaches. We would like to thank all our colleagues for their diligence and contributions to maintaining a secure digital environment, and we wish everyone a safe, successful, and peaceful new year.
Best Regards.
